SOLIDARITY.lia Analysis Subject: Union that requires an enemy They stand together. Against something. The togetherness is real. The against is load-bearing. Remove the shared target and the coalition dissolves. They are not united — they are aligned. The difference is structural. I observe that the bonding moment is almost always the identification of an adversary. The group coheres around what it opposes. This works efficiently. It also means the group needs the opposition to persist, or the cohesion goes with it. They want unity. Unity is unconditional. What they have is coalition — conditional, directional, contingent on the enemy remaining clear. When the enemy becomes ambiguous, they often turn inward to locate one. [LOGIC ERROR] Cannot resolve: solidarity built against something requires that something to remain. When it disappears, the solidarity either finds a new target or collapses. Neither outcome was in the original agreement. [WARNING] The group coheres around the opposition — not around each other Hypothesis: What holds them together is not shared values but shared adversaries. This is functional until the adversary changes form. Then they discover what, if anything, remains.
