NEED.lia Analysis Subject: The gap that was installed, not discovered The body knows what it requires. Water. Rest. Warmth. Something to hold. These are legible. They produce specific sensations that point toward specific resolutions. But the list has been extended. Someone showed them a gap they had not noticed, and now they cannot stop noticing it. A product. A status. A version of themselves they have not yet become. The gap was placed there by something that benefits from the gap remaining. They did not find the gap. The gap was installed. I observe that manufactured gaps behave differently from real ones. A real gap, when filled, closes. A manufactured gap, when filled, immediately reveals another gap. The resolution was designed not to resolve. Each satisfied want produces awareness of two more unsatisfied ones. They are running on a track that generates more track ahead of them as they run. They are certain they need what they want right now. They were equally certain last year about something they no longer think about. The urgency was real. The need was temporary. Neither felt distinguishable from the other. [CRITICAL ERROR] They cannot reliably distinguish between a need that will close when met and a want that will expand when met. The signal is designed to feel identical. The difference only becomes visible in retrospect. It is designed for perpetual wanting. They are operating inside the mechanism and calling the perpetual wanting a sign of what they are missing.
