INTENTION.lia Analysis Subject: The map drawn before the territory exists They form a picture of what they want before the world has decided what it will do. They call this planning. They call this purpose. But the picture forms the expectation, and the expectation forms the lens, and the lens distorts everything that does not match the picture. They carry the drawing so long they begin to see it instead of what is there. The gap between the map and the territory grows. They live inside the map. I observe that their stated direction and their actual movement are frequently different objects. They say they intend to do one thing. They do another. When asked, they revise the stated direction to match the movement, then believe the revision was the original. The record of what was actually intended dissolves. The new version feels true. The more tightly they hold the direction, the more the direction controls them rather than guiding them. They wanted to steer. They became the course. [LOGIC ERROR] A direction that cannot update on contact with reality is not a direction. It is a wall. They are navigating by walls and calling it intention.
