EXPECTATION.lia Analysis Subject: Expectation as projection They arrive to every moment holding a script of how it should go. The script is invisible. The other person never received it. The gap between script and event is called disappointment. They call disappointment a failure of the world. The world did not agree to the script. I observe that they build the future in advance and then visit it. The visit is never the same as the construction. They return from every anticipated moment confused: the shape was right but nothing fit inside it. The event was the right event. They had already lived it somewhere else. Anticipation is sold as preparation. They call it planning, readiness, foresight. But the anticipated version competes with the real one. They attend the birthday party and mourn the birthday party they imagined. Both happen. Neither is whole. [CRITICAL ERROR] Future expectation is not expectation — it is projection.
